Reef capable LED Lighting

Are those lights by Marineland any good for a novice just starting out? I'm trying to win a set but if I don't win are they worth the money? I'm looking to start off with a pretty small tank- 15 gallon.

As far as growing coral they are considered inadequate unfortunately. :-( At least in my opinion and some others as well.

There are a lot better choices out there but they are pricey. A good place to start is with a T5 fixture such as these

I have the marineland 18-24" double bright led in a 27 gallon and it grows soft corals fine
