What are the parameters to test for in reef systems? What kits do you folks prefer? TIA

ph, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate are the basics. Then depending on what you have in the tank you might want:ca, p04, mg,copper, and alk. I use "aquarium pharmiceuticals", nutrifin, and seachem personally. Many people recommend Salifert though.

The basics I understand. Thanks for the others. Shouldn't KH and Phosphate be added too?

alk tests the kh along with a couple of other things for total alk. Po4 stands for phosphate.
