Refugium light issue

Hey everyone, I have a Coralife mini aqua light 11" T5 fixture that I've replaced bulbs on 3 times in 9 months. First ones lasted about 6 months, second set lasted 3 months and the last set I replaced 2 weeks ago and they just went out....
Anyone else have this problem with this fixture? Is there something I can do to fix it?
Either way, I'll take recommendations on a new one that will last.

I am using an $8 dollar shop light fixture with a screw in CFL bulb...

Sounds to me like your T5 might have a bad starter or ballast. Bulbs need to be replaced about every 12 months to get the full output of the bulb, but they should not go out even at 2 years or so.
