remora skimmer ?

hey guys. i have a remora skimmer and this thing is really loud. my question - (to anyone that has one) is the outflow of the spray jet touching the water inside the skimmer. mine is not and thats where the loud noise is coming from.the sound of water being sprayed .
i know that this skimmer is not set up for a venturi pump so im not sure if it would create enough bubbles if the jet was submerged.i know that it would make it a lot more quiet.
just wondering.


by the way, ive had it set up and running for about a month and it skims great. past the "break in" period. still get a ton of bubbles and yes im using the overflow box. thanks alot.

The water doesn't touch the spray nozzle. If if did, it wouldn't be able to make bubbles. Mine is in cabinet on the sump, so I can't here mine over the sound from the overflow.

thanks man. thats what i thought. just have to deal with the noise for now.

You can try dynamating the whole skimmer. I did that with my prizm deluxe and it helped alot.
