Where can I buy an inexpensive reliable sump filter for freshwater use?

Marineland makes one that is made of plastic and even has a biowheel but they only sell it to Petco for use in Petco. Not sold to the public for some reason. Its what Petco uses for their aquariums.

IMO there's not enough benefit adding a sump to a FW system. You'll gain some water volume and a place to hide your heater but thats all. In a SW system it gives a place to hide a skimmer and other equipment. The retail stores use a sump so they can over crowd their tanks. Good luck!

Yes i also plan to overcrowd my tank(s) for my breeding projects. For example when rearing 100+ fry in a 55 gallon. Growing fry will produce more ammonia than most filters can handle. Will need a massive bio filter capacity so I won't have to do water changes ever 6 hours. I have lots of tanks but they will be filled up when my breeding projects begin.
