Return pump

I have a 90g tank with a 30g sump
The return pump it pumps 700gph , my problem is I'm not getting much flow out of the return , I want to upgrade but not sure if I should step up to a 900gph or a1250gph , I just want to improve the flow along with lessening the stress of the pump with out turning it into a turbo jet , it has to pump up about five feet from sump below to the tank above

I would go with the 1250 at 5' you'd be getting roughly 800 or so gph maybe a little more with what your using your getting around 300 or 350 gph. I'm not an expert on this so hopefully someone else can chime in but I don't see the 900 gph pump making much of a change. I would get the 1250 gph pump and have it split pointing in opposite directions from the middle of your tank so it's not all shooting out one way
