A guy is willing to sell me a reverse osmosis set up that he used a little over a year ago. He had a 75 gallon sw. Is a reverse osmosis set up a good purchase? He will sell it to me for $25. Here is a pic?

An RO is a good buy. A better suggestion would be an RO/DI unit. You can get a seperate DI unit to add to that.

To be honest I don't know anything about them... he said he used it and got super clean water and all he had to do is add salt. It sounds like a good deal but I just don't know anything about them...

How new are the actual filters? Aren't new filters somewhat expensive?

$25 may sound like a good deal but you also need to think about the filters..if you have to replace the filters..then you better of buying a new ro/di machine..they are swlling a new unit for $65 on EBAY..
