I got a Rio 3100 as my return pipe for the sump and I'm not liking the barb adaptor it came with. The barb adaptor has the 1/2" inside dimension to fit a 3/4" hose, it narrows down considerably coming right out of pump and I'm wondering how that's affecting the flow. So I'd like to find an adaptor that'll screw on the 3/4" outlet of the pump and barb will size up to 1" outside diameter so the inside diameter stays 3/4". What kind of a thread is on the pump? Don't think its a regular garden hose thread, the threads seem to be closer together.

Here's the adapter I got.

1" x 3/4" CPVC Socket Coupling
Item Number: 30457

Would this work? I could screw the 3/4" end on the pump and a 1" barb adaptor on the other side?
