What is going to happen if I run a RO/DI when it is near freezing (it's 34 F tonight...) ie, will flow be reduced, clog filter quickly, etc...

Thanks

temp will affect the speed at which the water will pass thru the RO membrain. at 34 deg the water is more dense, thus will take longer to make water.

That is correct. I only got 5 gallons on a freezing night where I got twice that on a 55 degree day.

Have any of you heard that colder temp means tighter membrane and thus higher quality water?

I`ve never heard that . Is that true? I`ve just got my unit so I`m not an expert on this subject.

Yes. The opposite is true for hot/warm water , and it will also increase your flow.
