I just got my rodi unit today. It says to run 10-15 gallons thru it to flush it. Does that mean 15 gallons of clean water? And I seen this video on you tube saying that not all ro di units will remove chloramines it says it needs a carbon stage. The one I got has a granulated carbon stage. Some of the other units I seen also had a carbon block stage. Should I of got one with a carbon block to remove the chloramines?

I ran about 10g finished clean water before i started storing my water. Granulated carbon should be fine for the carbon stage.

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

a true DI unit as well as a RO unit will take everything out but the wet. I would think it's just to get you to buy more gear from them. I must add though some home units might not be up to the standards of a commercial unit. does your DI have both ani-cani resins? if so i would think it would break both bonds in the cloramines

I'm not sure. It's a cheap one off eBay. I think it's the same one carey^ has.
