RO/DI membrane question

I currently have a spectra pure 90gpd 4 stage unit. I see that marine depot has the exact 90gpd membrane for the unit. My question is can I use a membrane rated for more gpd? I could get one that is rated for more gpd at same price or less.

I was told by my LFS that your output is what the membrane can output. So if you want more water, get a membrane with more gpd.
