RO/DI units

I am thinking of getting a RO/DI but there are a lot of different types out there. I've seen 4, 5 and 6 stage units, chloramine units ect. Can anyone tell me the difference between these and offer a suggestion?

The stages are more of a marketing hype than anything. All you really need is a good unit that has a sediment filter, carbon block, membrane, and di cartridge (ie 4 stage). Chloramine specific units generally have a larger carbon block, but I used a standard 4 stage with my tap that used chloramine. Look at the better brands like BRS, Vertex, Spectrapure, Melevsreef, etc. I don't recommend, after using one, the cheaper ebay units like purewaterclub.
