Awesome it sounds like brs is the way to go. Is it me or are the rodi units water wasteful. I saw a video that said that a unit makes 1 gallon of water for every for gallons it wastes.

Wasteful but worth it! You can always save the waste water for plants or something like that.

Yes it's very wasteful but you can at any time add this:

And that will cut your waste in half and double your gpd.
Also, consider most fixtures are sized at 7.5 gpm so hypothetically a 20 min shower will use as much water as your monthly RO/DI waste produces.

They should shut off when done making water. Some don't as a result of bad or missing one way valves. They all work about the same, what you are wanting is the extra (DI) stage, or Deionization. This takes water the RO system makes and drives the last of the dissolved materials out of the water. A built in TDS and pressure meter are very nice options.

I've heard the best is spectrapure. BRS is good also, but you asked for the best. Check out spectrapure.
