How often does an RO Filter have to be flushed? :?
I have a Kent Marine 35 gal RO Hi-S, I've used it to make ~20 gals of water in the last 45 days.

I would say once a month as well. It really depends on the TDS readings of the water going in to the membrane. If you have a high TDS, you might benefit from flushing every two weeks. If the TDS going in is very low, then you could probably stretch it out longer. You will only gain membrane life by flushing it...there is no detrimental effect. Basically what you're doing when you flush it is rinsing the gunk off the outer part of the RO membrane.
