RO unit ???

Once again we are looking at another tank(he he he). Anyway, I am looking to do discus and possibly angelfish and was wondering if a RO unit will help to bring the water down to a PH between 6.5 and 7.0. My tap water currently comes out at 7.8.

My tap water is 7.6 and my RO+DI drops it down to 7.0 But you probably already know that pure RO water is not good for your fish. At 3/4ths RO water you could probably only get down to about 7.2 or so. I would suggest using peat moss or driftwood to further lower the ph. Good luck!
