I was wondering if someone could help me out with salinity calculations.
Did a salinity test this morning with a refractometer and the reading was 1.024, we were advised to get the salinity up to 1.025, how do you calculate how much extra salt to add based on the amount of water you currently have in the tank. Please be aware that the tank only has water in at this stage (220 litres) as it is new, there is no live rock, corals or livestock at this stage.

If you are able to tell me how you work out the answer that would be fantastic!

With me it's kinda just a "feeling" on the amount. lol

I use slightly rounded 1/2 cups of salt in my mixing water to get to 1.025, it's something you just kinda figure out I think.

To get your water up the extra .001 I would just use salt water for your next few top offs instead of regular ro/di water. That's an easy way to adjust for such a small amount of adjustment. :)
