Sand in Aquaclear?

I think I have a grain of sand in my awau clear. After I moved around the sand to get rid of gas, I keep hearing a noise in the filter.

Anyway, how would I remove it if this is the casE?

Have you tired taken the motor off of the filter then taking the impeller out and take a q-tip and wipe it down around the shaft and the magnanet. Make sure that when you do this that you use tank water so you don't destroy any beneficial bacteria. HTH Good Luck

I am assuming you mean more than a grain of sand, but alot of sand? Chances are that the sand you stirred up got into your impeller and is causing some internal damage. I would follow Buhnsucker's advise on cleaning it out.
