hi all
my question is this
on my system (1500 gph pond pump and scwd closed loop system)
i'm getting flow only out of the left side (very little on right side)
i took it out and back flushed it with warm water ,shook it out
and replaced it
it worked fine untill i shut the system down last night
(i use just a mj 1200 for flow during the evenings)
now morning comes i turn on the pump , and it does it again only flow from the right side

is the scwd broke or what?
i dont know if this matters but on the returns i have pieces of pvc that have been squeezed to form a wide flow jet for more force (flow)

My guess is that some sand has been sucked up into your return line somehow. Any small sand bit will jam the SQWD easily. You rinse, dislodge it, and it runs fine until the next bit jams it.

Make sure there is a filter over your return pump when using a SQWD, that's my advice.

Mine has jammed one time in 2 years and that was within one week of my removing the sponge on the intake of my return pump. Once I put the sponge back on...no problems since.
