Sealer?

Just built an oak canopy for my 125 reef, just wondering what kind of sealer would be best and safe to coat inside of the canopy? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I painted the inside of my canopy with a few coats of white exterior latex. The outside I stained and covered with a few coats of polyurethane.

+1 White reflects light well and the poly will keep water out of the wood.
