Seeking Quiet Lights

Any recommendations for a quiet light? My 46 gallon bow front has a basic fluorescent light fixture. It buzzes and hums and is annoying. I thought maybe it was the bulb and replaced it. Still buzzing and humming. Looking around, I see some super expensive lights in my LFS. What's quiet and not so pricey?

The humming noise, if coming from the lights, is usually from the ballast not the bulb. I would try that and the starter if there is one installed before dropping a wad of cash like that.

My cheap 4' 2 bulb fixture I got at home depot for $8 is quiet as can be. Also, my Coralife 96w PC light is absolutely silent. In fact, I think all my stocks lights are not even audible.

I must say though, I bought 4 of the 4' 2 bulb fixtures and one out of the 4 is noisy but it is in the garage over my workbench.
