I have a 10 gallon tank and i just bought a Shark Powerhead for my undergravel filter. It pumps 200 GPH and has a few settings and one setting doesnt include the aeration effect. My question is do i need the bubbles running through the water with the aeration tube? Is the motion on the surface enough without the aeration? I dont like the tiny bubbles runing through the water all the time.

I say you should ditch the undergravel and go w/a HOB only. ive never had luck with the undergravels really, and when you clean them you gotta take apart the whole tank

Yeah UGFs clog way to easy and create spots of dirt and rotting food. Just take the fish out and put them in a bucket of water and pull that thing out.
