Silent Skimmer

Hi !!!

How can i silence my skimmer ? I have a berlin skimmer in a 60 gallon aquarium placed on my living room and it make a lot of noise (buzz sound).

No problem with my air pump because is placed inside a jar like I saw in one of those DIY articles (It works).

If it is making a buzzing sound try placing a rubber mouse pad under it.

ohh, I forgot to mention that my skimmer is inside the aquarium and the sound comes from de air stone.

Well that changes things......

Pull the airstone off the bottom of the skimmer slightly so it can't buzz against the bottom of the skimmer. If that doesn't work, I would suggest you get used to the noise or buy another skimmer, none are really noted for being silent, but some are noisier than others
