I have silicone that say it's 100% silicone, but also says it's mildew resistant. So is it aquarium safe?

I would not use that since some chemicals used to make it mildew resistant is toxic to fish, look for silicone that states aquarium safe.

A common silicone that is used is GE silicone 1 or 2, but only the window and door one. These are easy to find, and I got mine at wal-mart. Just make sure it has time to cure completely. By the time I set up my siliconed refugium, it would have cured for 2 weeks.

There's a brand called LOCTITE that I use, in the little tubes (not for a caulking gun) that says aquarium safe on it and I get it at lowes.

I have also used window and door silicone 1 from walmart.
