I have the Bubble Magus NAC 3.5, which is very similar. My feedback is it is a decent value for a skimmer, but the pump is not very good. I have to replace my pump about once a year.

I currently own a nac5.5 & I'm not to sure if I have the water level in its optimum level as I just cleaned it 24 hrs ago and this is all it collected since!

Seems like a normal amount to me. If you want to skim a little wetter it certainly wouldn't hurt. Keep in mind it takes a few weeks to truly break in and work at optimal level, as well.
