skimmer ?

does the water waste a skimmer produces contain salt or is it fresh?

Umm... I have never tasted it (YUUUK!!!) but I would guess that there is some salty content in it, but it is mostly crap in there. Maybe you'll taste it and let us know??? :P

question is, why do you wanna know? I wouldn't try using it as a plant fertilizer or anything like that. just dump it down the sink, with plenty of water.

well over time it will affect your sg IF you only do topoffs. granted i do pwc and make sure i keep my sg in check. just thinking too deeply into it.

Running a skimmer wet will definatly effect SG to some effect.. I doubt that it would be much of an issue if its dialed down to black coffee skimmulate though..
