I just put in a new skimmer (Bubble Magus NAC-6) and new sump in my 75 reef this weekend. I have a very, very light bioload (1 clownfish and a few crabs) but I'm also trying to get rid of some algae by using a better skimmer and other methods (more frequent H2O changes & phosphate reducer filter pad). The air intake is at about 2 1/2 but I'm getting very little skimmate. The stuff I do get is a watery light green color. Does anyone have any recommendatons on where the bubble level (or air intake #) should be so I can get the thicker skimmate?
