I will have a 180-gal tank, with something like a 55-gal sump.

I've seen Berlin recommended by numerous people both here and elsewhere. Which Berlin do I need? I've heard that if I get one that is TOO big, it will take out too much and make life difficult for some inverts?

Are there other brands I should consider? I want something that is easy to install and maintain.

Are you guys sick of my infinite supply of questions yet?? ;-)

Within reason, you can not over skim. I have heard that over and over. I am personally saving my pennies for a Euro Reef skimmer. It's all preference though.

I also agree that you cannot over skim. Buy as good a skimmer as your personal finances can allow you. I would also suggest to stick with well known and well rated brands. Do some research and ask around what people are using and what are their assesment of the one they use. Then make your decision.
