skimmer return advise please

on my skimmer (diy) i will build shortly
for the return, i was thinking of piping it into my return form my closed loop system
any other ideas or guidance?

I don't believe it would work in a closed loop system. A closed loop has a central loop that draws water from one part of the tank and routes it to another. If you somehow plumbed your skimmer to it, it would be pulling water out of the skimmer. Perhaps you mean that you have a return pump in a sump resevoir under the tank?
