Hi again people!

I've invested in a controll unit for my tank, and I have a question about the frequency of the use of different items.

I already have a pattern for the different lighting ranging from 11-12 hrs a day for normal 'daylight' and 4 hrs from 9pm-1am for 'moonlight'.

I figure that's ok (correct me if I am wrong!)

My question is about the skimmer and uv filter.. do they need to run all the time or is 12hrs a day enough etc etc.

Any advice is as always apprecited and even written down for reference heh

yah, got a baby pump to run nice and slow (per the man/ instructions qph wise) for the uv...

Thanks for the tip...all on they are..

Definitely run the skimmer 24/7. As for the UV, you could maybe skimp and run it during lights off if you felt the need, but as Seaham says, its best to run it 24/7 for maximum effectiveness.
