I found a lovely moss green marble soap dish (5.5"Lx3.5"Wx0.75"H) at Goodwill today for a buck. It does not look or feel like it has ever had soap on it -it still had the original store tag on it. I would like to use it as a feeding dish in the 75g. This dish would be great to keep the pellets contained and not rolling off into the substrate (it is slightly concave). Right now all fish but the cories eat pellets off a flat rock.

Is marble safe for aquariums?

Soak it in White vinegar 20% the rest water, if it bubbles....nope. use it as a soap dish.

If not then let it soak to clean it or you could clean with a bleach 10% the rest water solution. Rinse off thoroughly, then rinse again with Tank water (outside of the tank of course) then put it in.

I think marble should be ok...but better to be safe.
