Hi I'm new to saltwater tanks, although I've done many freshwater aquariums. I was wondering if someone could link or give me a list of what I would need. I'm going to start a FOWLR and want a tank of at least 100g. Any help would be appreciated!

Btw my budget is somewhere near $700 and want to see if it is better to buy everything new or buy used.

I would for sure start trolling craigs list for a good used setup. I've gotten a few tank setups for really cheap. Just need patience. :-D

I recently got a 125g tank and stand with a nice 48" light for $100. Could have been a better tank but the price was right.

Craigslist, local clubs and forums is where you will get the best deals. Someone is always upgrading, getting out or downsizing.

Things you can't do with out a refractometer and a good liquid test kit IMO

Im going to buy a 90g tank with a stand, 80 pounds of LR and 80 pounds of LS, a sump, a chiller, and metal halide lights. Everything works and it's $650. Good deal?
