I recently bought a custom sump (19" tall) from someone that looks like the diagram. I also purchased the external Precision Marine Bullet XL1 (1st Gen) from him to go with it.
The guy had the skimmer hooked up to the return section of the sump through the two bulkheads on the return side. I want it connected to the intake side of sump. The skimmer cannot have piping higher than 9".
Please help me with this problem. The sump is too tall to set the skimmer next to it but the stand does not allow the skimmer on a stand. The skimmer requires an external pump to go into the injector.
Can I put a discharge pump on it to overcome the 9" piping height limitation? It is an external skimmer, but if I put it in the first chamber and leave the skimmer drain open, would that cause a problem? What ideas do you have? Thanks.
