Sump Size

OKay - i'm looking to set up my first saltwater aquarium and will use a sump.

What size sump should one have in comparison to the aquarium?

For example if I had 100 litre tank how mant litres should be in my sump? is there a general rule?

Generally go as big as will fit under your tank unless you have large tank. For instance I had a 30 gallon and I could only fit a 20 gallon inside the stand. For my 200 gallon it came with a 60 gallon sump. I hope ths helps.
