I'm looking at an auction for an "Elite Series" wet/dry filter that has the 24" L x 9.5" W x 18" H sump, overflow canister and pump for $150. Never dealt with any wet/dry filter manufacturers before, so I don't know what to look for.
My main concern is the pump: a "Surge 3500" pump made by Aquus. Auction says it's rated for 450 GPH, while the manu. site says it's rated @ 660 GPH.
Never heard of it - does anyone have any word on this pump/filter be it good or bad? Sound like a deal, or am I going to get ripped off? (need to get proper filtration for a 60 gallon reef aquarium-to-be)
