T2 lights?

Has anyone used the T2 lights? I see that they can be plugged together with up to 4 in a string so you can position them as you want and they supposedly use less power than the T5's. I had never heard of them until today and I am in the market for lighting for my new (used) 90 gallon tank. They seem pretty inexpensive, relatively, but if they dont work then it isnt such a bargain.

I am looking to use the tank as a FOWLR tank and maybe transitioning to soft corals in the future.

I haven't used T2s, but I've been reading about them tonight:

I also discovered they come in mini CFLs. I have fresh water planted tanks, so I was excited to find 15w 6700k T8s on an Australian site called Ozlighting.
They sound pretty cool. Comparable with T5s, maybe a little more energy output.

Time I stopped researching lights and turned them off for the night lol!
