T5 ballast - Aquarium Advice

Hi all.

I think I lost my T5 ballast Friday night. My neighbor's house got hit by lightening and I had a few items get zapped ... NIC, answering machine and it appears my T5 ballast.

It is a CV [acronym:cc3e11e0eb="Metal halide light"]MH[/acronym:cc3e11e0eb]/T5 retro kit. It is magnetic and runs 2 54watt bulbs. I am not sure which wires to test for voltage on the bulb side of the ballast. I know I am getting voltage up to the ballast. Is this a no brainer and is there a ballast that I can get locally([acronym:cc3e11e0eb="Home Depot"]HD[/acronym:cc3e11e0eb] or Lowes) or do I need a specific T5 ballast. Not real familiar with these but I like them

PM Loganj unless someone posts an answer, he it quite good with electrical.

Thanks for the tip Steve-S.

I will add that the ballast is electronic not magnetic. I goofed on that.
