T5 Lighting

i went to my lfs today looking for new lights 4 my tank and the lady was telling me about t5s and a glowmat, i have a aqua one 620T with orignal light system but added saltwater globes. whats the best system to use??

I really depends on what you want to keep in your tank, like corals that may require more light, as opposed to FOWLR.
I am going to move this to the general hardware/equipment section.
