T5 or T8 Lighting which one?

Hi all,

I want to buy an MP/Eheim tank from Germany. Heres the web site

http://www.aquaristikshop.com

Hit english at the bottom and then tanks and furniture on the left side.

The Topas 130 is the one I want but should I pay the extra 40 euro(50dllrs) for T5 lighting?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks again.

Ian

I probably would go ahead and get the t-5's if I was already spending that much on an aquarium.

T5 lighting is very advantagious only if the refectors are properly designed.. if the reflectors are good, they are far more intence then T-8 lighting.. T5 HO's are just short of MH IMO
T8 is a NO bulb.. just normal ouput lighting.. HTH

I have a dual tube T-5 fixture from Coralife on one of my 20 gallon tanks. I've been very happy with the output.
