I have soft corals right now but I want to keep some brains, I have a hammer coral, cynarina. I just want the ability to add more just because im spontaneous and buy something every week. I just want to have a better lighting system for their overall health. I would like to spend under 800.00

Thanks

I setup 2 36" T5 fixtures on my 6' tank (FW). 4x39W each for a total of 312 watts. You can get 6x39 or 8x39s as well. Just saying, you don't need to use a single 72" fixture.

Would this be enough for a 300 Gallon?
Current USA Nova Extreme Pro T5 Aquarium Lighting Fixture, 12X39 Watt, 72 inch
I heard the 4-6 watt per gallon rule is outdated but I want to make sure that is enough light for my size tank.

Thanks
