Temperature question

I had an ich scare a while back so I salted and upped my heater to around 85. I have 3 black skirt tetras, a red serpae, 2 Platys, and a Chinese algae eater. The ich thing was just a scare, so there's no need for the heat to be up still but they have been active, and any nipped fins heal in like 2 days with the heated salted water.

My question is, is there any negatives to having my tank at 85? The fish to seem liking it a lot more than when it was Unheated, and their healing times for the nipped fins have been great! I don't see why I shouldn't just leave the heat up bc it just seems to be a winner all the way around. Any input?

Higher temps speed up their metabolism and shorten life span. That means that you will have your fish for a shorter period of time.

Thanks for the response. I'll then down the thermometer on my next water change. Thanks again!
