I currently have a 115g freshwater non-planted tank. The tank measures 48"(w) x 30"(h) x 18'(d).

I'm looking at this Quad T5 HO set up with blue LEDs on ebay:
48" QUAD Aquarium T5 HO Light 54W x4 Coral Fish LED NEW | eBay

However it just seems like too much lighting to me. There is also a simular dual T5 package by the same manufacture.

I thought about LEDs but if/when they go out they can't be replaced and they'er just too much $$$ since I don't have plants.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks

i would probably go with the 4 bulbs simply because the tank is so deep top to bottom. i have 8 lamp fixtures over my tank and it's not terribly bright. i don't think you would be happy with just 1 daylight lamp and 1 actinic lamp over your tank.
