Anybody know of a good, reliable top off system?

I just got the JBJ going on my system. I have never used another brand so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I really like mine. I haven't had any issues with jamming of the float so far. I don't keep snails in my sump. Some people have said that snail can mess up the float switch. I bought an aqua lifter pump to add the top off water. I would recommend something with more power. The aqualifter only pump 3.5 gph and I have had some problems with that. The JBJ auto shuts off after about 3minutes to avoid flooding. With the aqualifter I have had it auto shut off because the pump did not fill in time. When that happens you have to manually reset the JBJ to get it going again. Not sure what size sump you are using. Mines a 40 breeder.
