Hi - I currently have a 20 gallon freshwater tank with an old under gravel filter (have to search on Amazon to find replacement charcoal cartridges, air stones and such). I would like to upgrade to something with a more current style filter system, and a slightly larger tank (30 -35 gallons?)

I'm starting to do research on how to do Fishless cycling on the new tank so that I can transition my fish in when it's ready, but I'm a bit clueless about what type of filter system to upgrade to.

Any suggestions? I've been reading about an "Agua Ionizer" filter - any thoughts?

I would go with one of these

Or

Plus a little hand work aka water changes will do the trick.

I haven't heard such good things about Agua Ionizer from what I've read.
