I would like to know what people on here think of adding a smallish piece of tuffa in my 142 litre freshwater tropical aquarium?
I have moderatly soft, acidic water and around this time last year put some crushed shell in a media bag in my tank. This stabalised ph nicely at 6.8. I took shells out and as ph was rising gradually. Now ph is falling low again. Don't really want shells back in and wanted to go for tuffa. Will this do damage long term? Any other suggestions? Don't want to use ph adjusting chemicals really. Thanks in advance
