turning an amiracle wet/dry into a sump

I have an amiracle wet/dry filter that was given to me. It doesn't have an overflow or a return pump. From what I see that is all that is missing I want to replace the bio-balls with lr rubble. I don't have a clue on how to set this thing up. It also has a protein skimmer that has 2 hoses coming out of the bottom and no pump. How do these things hook together? Your help is greatly appreciated.

The amiracle units are nice If you are going to replace the bio-balls with lr rubble just make sure the lr is completely covered in water or else it won’t help. Does it look like this?

I’d recommend getting a CPR Overflow, a Pondmaster Pond-Mag 7 Pump, & a directional return spout.

No mine doesn't look like that. It has a box that is divided in the center. one side has bio-balls and the other has a sump.
