Turning Off Ecoxotic E Series Light

I got a really good deal on a small Ecoxotic E Series light so I'll actually be using it for my quarantine tank. That means though that the l light will be off for extended periods of time. The question I have is whether it's possible to turn the fixture off from the remote and have it ignore the timer afterwards? Or will the fixture turn back on the next time the timer says so?

The power button will shut it off and it will stay off until you hit the power again.
