Uv sterilizer turbotwist questions help please

Just purchased a turbotwist 3x and was wondering does it matter which end is used for the inlet and outflow. I'm running it through a powerhead that only has 110 gph and the diagram says the bottom is the intake and the top is the outflow but why would they make the powerhead have to push water straight up?? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't have too much experience with uv sterilizer a but I think the turbo twists are designed to be used inline with return plumbing. Therefore if you had it vertical and your return plumbing was vertical it would be pushing the water up back to the tank. Hopefully someone who has the same unit will chime in. Good luck.

I can see what you are doing. I just looke over the drawings and instructions. The only thing I can think is that the twist will inhibit the flow or how long particle are exposed to the uv. I attached a pic that I cot from the drawings. Just take the hose from the top and move it to the inlet which is further down. Just switch them. If that's the only line you have just switch the lines.

Sorry, doubled the picture. I was just doing some research and I read that users had issues with the flow and the unit just didn't run correctly when it was hooked up in reverse. I just want you to get the best functionality out of this product since you did spend money on it.
