visitherm stealth

Both my 50 watt and my 150 watt have crapped out on me in less than 1 year. And stupid, stupid, stupid, me, I threw away any warranty info I had a long time ago. Both did the exact same thing too. I think it must be that the thermostats went bonkers. Because I could turn the heaters all the way up and they would come on, but they would not go on and off on their own. I am sooooo mad!!

I have three Stealths, and they have been fine so far. I did notice that one of the heaters was warm during a water change when it was supposed to turn itself off.

I would still try to take your heaters back, Meredith. The [acronym:3778d9167e="Local Fish Store"]lfs[/acronym:3778d9167e] can test the heaters for themselves, and return them to the manufacturer as defective, and then give you your money back, or maybe a gift certificate.
