:? :? :? Both my 50 watt and my 150 watt have crapped out on me in less than 1 year. And stupid, stupid, stupid, me, I threw away any warranty info I had a long time ago. :? :? :? Both did the exact same thing too. I think it must be that the thermostats went bonkers. Because I could turn the heaters all the way up and they would come on, but they would not go on and off on their own. I am sooooo mad!!

I have three Stealths, and they have been fine so far. I did notice that one of the heaters was warm during a water change when it was supposed to turn itself off.

I would still try to take your heaters back, Meredith. The lfs can test the heaters for themselves, and return them to the manufacturer as defective, and then give you your money back, or maybe a gift certificate.
