I built an acrylic sump/refugium;I would like to know exactly how much water is in it
It is close to 30 gallons I guess but like to know what is the formula to figure it out. The dimensions are 45L×12w×15h. Thanks everyone

If you go to the custom tank build forum section there's a link to a site that if you type the dimensions it will give you the number of gallons to the decimal.

Yep no problem. Let me know if you have trouble finding it an I'll take a look.

Or just use simple math:

The volume is: 45"x12"x15"/231 = 35 US Gallons.

If the sump is not full (the way it should be) then substitute your actual water depth for the 15" height to get the actual water volume.

Thanks for all your help. I really do appreciate it. Yeah the water level isn't all the way full. I accounted for the over flow. Thanks again.
